KANEBEC COUNTY EDA, STRATEGIC PLANNING | 2021
Challenge: The Kanabec County EDA, which relied on Northspan’s facilitation through its formation and initial strategic plan in 2015-2016, sought an update to its strategic plan.
Role: Facilitated the creation of a new strategic plan across three sessions with the EDA and several identified stakeholders, which were held virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Phases included a planning survey; a strategic directions consensus workshop; a session focused on current reality, success indicators, and accomplishments; and the development of a timeline to complete the strategic actions.
Results: The Kanabec County EDA now has an operational three-year strategic plan, which includes five strategic directions that build on past efforts and address emerging challenges in the county.
