Inclusion is one of the core values that drives Northspan’s work. Over the past several months, Northspan has been conducting background work on a concept that seeks to foster welcoming communities for people of all backgrounds in northeast Minnesota. Recent events in Minnesota and across the country have only reinforced the importance of working to build connections throughout our communities and make sure the reasons we love calling them home are accessible to all.
As a team, Northspan has undertaken this work with a commitment to listen and the knowledge that we do not know all of the answers. We are not sure what form this effort will take yet and will rely heavily on partner input. We are now starting to reach out to people and groups for their input on effective frameworks and methods to advance this work.
