In February 2020, Northland Connection upgraded its website to remain on the cutting edge of economic development web platforms. We continued our partnership with Atlas Integrated, which developed our current platform in 2016, to make a series of upgrades.
The upgraded NorthlandConnection.com streamlines and simplifies its layout, consolidating pages and delivering information in more straightforward ways. The fresh website delivers the same information with greater ease of use and homes in on the information we know our users most value.
At the center of the upgrade are Atlas’ three new tools for:
Business IQ: An enhanced version of the familiar Northland Connection property database
Workforce IQ: Improved demographic and labor force data
Talent Pipeline: Provides an overview of degrees awarded by higher education institutions in the region, with up-to-date annual statistics that previously required intensive data collection
The new site auto-generates 46 demographic and economic reports with the latest available data, eliminating a need for static PDFs that required regular updates by staff. Its new WordPress platform also enhances usability and will help streamline our management of the site and its vast array of information.
