Northland Connection, the Northland’s premier commercial real estate and economic development research program, released its 2020 work plan to its advisory committee in mid-March. The new work plan is a departure from past Northland Connection annual plans, as it was built after extensive input from funding partners and Northspan staff and more specifically defined program priorities, goals, strategies, and tactics.
The new work plan includes several changes to Northland Connection that will deliver added value to our partners. The program rolled out its first quarterly newsletter, which highlighted a recent upgrade to the website, industry trends, and ways in which Northspan’s research capacity supports community partners. We also plan to conduct additional outreach and convene events that allow economic development and commercial real estate partners to come together. We’ll also work directly with our regional-level partners to make sure we’re on the same page in our efforts to support regional economic growth.
Northland Connection has also implemented performance measures that, while long tracked internally, will now give advisory committee members a better picture of the program’s efforts. As always, Northland Connection will adapt to new industry trends when necessary and is on the lookout for new data tools or website enhancements that can improve its offerings.
