Northspan Consultant & Finance Manager Zack Filipovich discussed resources for small businesses, including the new Driving Access to Wealth & Networks (DAWN) program, in a segment for Almanac North which aired on March 1, 2024.
“We help build connections and provide access to those networks and maybe those people that you might not get to meet first-hand,” shared Zack, “like Angel Investors and other funders. That leads into the second piece which is capital. We’re talking about financial capital and we have longstanding relationships with really cool non-traditional lending partners like the Northland Foundation and Entrepreneur Fund that can help create capital.”
The episode also features Downtown Duluth’s President and COO Kristi Stokes along with small business owners Kevin Jacobsen and Lissa Flemming, who shared the backstory of how they started their companies and achieved success in their niches.
